Welcome to the Underworld.
Underworld BJJ offers quality Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction for people of all ages, skills, and learning styles. With classes 7 days/ week, we offer an action-packed schedule full of beginner classes, kids classes, women’s-only classes, competition training, and so much more.
Founded by a soon-to-be-married team that met on these very mats, Head Coaches Danielle and Aidan are thrilled to bring family-friendly fitness, fun, and competitive sports to the DC community.
Underworld is a welcoming place where beginners can dive into a new passion, get in shape with a physical puzzle instead of the monotony of treadmills, and organically make friends.

The instructors are incredibly talented jiu jitsu martial artists, but more importantly, they are all gifted with the ability to break down and translate complex jiu jitsu moves in a way that's fun, accessible and safe.
